As usual, I blame Khitten Kurka for this… she played this one night at a party on Kiko Life, and Monrocie Pontecorvo and I were D.Y.I.N.G. with laughter.
I make her play it for me every time I’m at one of her sets… but it’s so bad now, I listening to it in my regular playlist. I LOVE this track, and although we all think Joe just a punk, cause Big Girls RULE (seeing I’m an ex-big girl but a big-girl in my heart still) and he just can’t hang, the brass, beat and bass on this track are the shit. I LOVE it!

This morning, after dropping the Lil King off to school, and I was walking up Deacon’s Road to go fight up with the damned ZRs, I chose this song to be my soundtrack.
This album, “Dream” by Tuck and Patti, I found on sale at No. 1 Record Shop, Independence Square in Barbados, for some stupid money–like less than $10DBS. I was 17 years old, and a rabid consumer of new-to-me music. I was still finding my tastes where music was concerned, and although much had already been set in stone, I was still wide open to everything I heard.
